Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Auditor to join our Audit team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality audit services to our clients, ensuring their financial statements are accurate and transparent.

As a Lead Auditor, you will have significant experience in delivering audit and other assurance services to major audited entities, including those with international interests. You will also have experience in managing a wide portfolio of concurrent projects and project teams.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing and developing the team, including coordinating projects, mentoring, and supporting with recruitment.
  • Delivering accurate and transparent reporting to all relevant stakeholders.
  • Providing long-term value to our clients through high-quality audit services.
  • Collaborating with Senior Managers, Directors, and BDO's Partners to ensure seamless delivery of audit services.

We are looking for someone who is comfortable working proactively and managing their own tasks, as well as confident collaborating with others and communicating regularly with stakeholders.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • ACCA/ACA/ICAS qualified or overseas equivalent.
  • Significant experience of delivering audit and other assurance services to major audited entities.
  • Experience of systems and controls testing, as well as substantive auditing of complex financial statement areas.
  • Project Management experience of large, complex engagements, or a large portfolio of smaller engagements.
  • Excellent working knowledge of UK and International GAAS, IFRS, UK GAAP, and Financial Reporting requirements.
Desirable

We are also looking for someone with:

  • Sector experience appropriate to BDO audited entities.
  • Experience with listed audited entities.
  • Experience auditing international groups and working with other worldwide BDO offices.
