About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Speech and Language Therapy Support Worker. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting children and young people with communication difficulties.

As a Speech and Language Therapy Support Worker, you will work under the guidance of a speech and language therapist to provide support and therapy to children and young people in various settings, including schools, nurseries, clinics, and their homes. You will be responsible for carrying out therapy independently, following sufficient training, and will also be involved in tasks such as making resources, administrative duties, and frequent communication with other adults involved with the young person.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide support and therapy to children and young people with communication difficulties
  • Work under the guidance of a speech and language therapist to develop and implement therapy plans
  • Carry out therapy independently, following sufficient training
  • Make resources and complete administrative duties
  • Communicate regularly with other adults involved with the young person
