Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Band 7 Advanced Biomedical Scientist to join our dynamic team at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for conducting advanced diagnostic testing with a focus on Flow Cytometry, ensuring the highest standards of accuracy and efficiency.

Main Responsibilities
  • Flow Cytometry Expertise: Conduct advanced diagnostic testing with a focus on Flow Cytometry, ensuring the highest standards of accuracy and efficiency.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, utilizing strong communication and interpersonal skills to influence and drive improvements in patient care.
  • Innovation and Development: Contribute to the development and implementation of new laboratory techniques and processes, staying abreast of the latest advancements in biomedical science.
  • Mentorship: Provide training and mentorship to junior staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
  • Compliance: Ensure all work is conducted in accordance with relevant regulations and standards, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of best practices in the field.
Qualifications and Experience
  • HCPC Registration: Required.
  • BSc in Biomedical Science, Clinical Medicine, or a related field: Essential.
  • Significant experience in Flow Cytometry: With a strong understanding of its clinical applications.
  • Excellent communication skills: Both verbal and written, with the ability to present findings clearly and effectively.
