Position Overview

In this role, you will provide essential support to the Finance Director, taking charge of all employee-related costs, benefits, VAT, and duty accounting, as well as managing credit card transactions. Your contributions will be vital in enhancing operational processes and systems.
Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Financial Manager, you will play a crucial role in one of the UK's most prestigious luxury brands. Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading a team of six to ensure precise and efficient management of Cash & Banking, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Credit Control, and Stock Control across multiple locations.
- Collaborating with the payroll bureau to guarantee timely and accurate employee payments and payroll tax submissions, while also preparing year-end returns and reports.
- Preparing and submitting compliant VAT and duty returns, ensuring timely payments are made.
- Reviewing and reconciling balance sheets and profit and loss statements, preparing variance analyses and commentaries, and closing period-end and year-end accounts in Sage X3 while resolving discrepancies.
- Serving as the primary contact for external auditors and tax advisors, preparing financial statement notes and disclosures, and assisting in the preparation and filing of corporation tax returns.
- Managing ONS, FCA, and similar returns, leading initiatives for process and system enhancements to improve controls and operations, and performing additional duties as necessary.
Qualifications and Skills
- Qualified accountant with ACA/ACCA preferred (finalists with a strong academic and professional record will be considered).
- A minimum of 5 years of industry experience.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while managing multiple priorities.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Professional demeanor befitting an award-winning luxury retailer.
