Key Responsibilities:

The primary focus of this role is to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of the Category Management Team while ensuring high standards of procurement quality and ethics. This position is crucial for maintaining excellence in procurement practices.

What You Will Do:

  • Category Management Strategy: Lead the strategy and execution of category management to achieve superior commercial outcomes, particularly in Technology. This role involves overseeing a team of procurement professionals and reporting to senior procurement leadership.

Strategic Planning:

  • Implement group-wide sourcing strategies that align with organizational goals.
  • Develop initiatives to reduce procurement costs and enhance the organization's financial performance.
  • Analyze spending data and market trends to uncover cost-saving opportunities.

Supplier and Stakeholder Management:

  • Oversee the contract and supplier management team to ensure timely contract execution and supplier performance.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure that delivery meets expectations.
  • Manage the end-to-end contract lifecycle and supplier relationships.

Team Leadership:

  • Plan and manage team capacity to ensure optimal staffing and resource allocation.
  • Coach team members to foster continuous development and enhance performance.
  • Evaluate employee performance in alignment with company values.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Ensure adherence to procurement policies and practices for effective delivery.
  • Implement risk mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies for optimization opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant Diploma/Degree in Engineering, Technical, or Finance.
  • MCIPS certification or similar is preferred.
