Job Overview

Join a dynamic and supportive law firm recognized for its outstanding client service as a Tax Assistant within their esteemed private client division. This firm prides itself on its innovative approach and commitment to delivering exceptional results for its clients.

Key Responsibilities

In your role as a Tax Assistant, you will be integral to the tax team, focusing on tax compliance tasks for a diverse client portfolio. Your main duties will include:

  • Preparing personal, trust, and estate tax returns
  • Drafting annual trust accounts
  • Maintaining comprehensive client records
  • Calculating and organizing tax payments
  • Conducting CGT computations and managing 60-day returns

You will collaborate closely with colleagues within the tax team and the broader private client group to ensure a seamless and high-quality service delivery.

Qualifications and Skills

The ideal candidate will possess AAT or ATT qualifications (or be nearing completion) and have relevant experience in an accounting firm or personal tax environment. A solid grasp of personal tax return processes is essential.

Additionally, you should demonstrate:

  • The ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities
