We are seeking an exceptional Head of Chemistry to lead our science team and drive academic excellence in our students. As a key member of our senior leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive chemistry curriculum, ensuring high-quality teaching and learning, and promoting a culture of excellence within the department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a chemistry curriculum that meets the needs of our students and aligns with national standards
- Lead and manage a team of science teachers, providing coaching, mentoring, and professional development opportunities
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure a cohesive and integrated curriculum
- Monitor and evaluate student progress, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies to address them
- Contribute to the development of school policies and procedures related to science education
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Head of Chemistry or in a similar leadership role
- Excellent teaching and leadership skills, with a strong track record of academic achievement
- Ability to develop and implement curriculum changes, ensuring high-quality teaching and learning
