Job Opportunity: English Associate Tutor

We are seeking a motivated and passionate individual to join our education team at HMP/YOI Doncaster as an Associate Tutor specialising in English. This is a permanent, full-time position working 37 hours per week.

About the Role

As an aspiring Tutor, you will develop and deliver high-quality, learner-focused education to meet contractual requirements and standards, in line with Novus policies and procedures. Your role will involve supporting learners and colleagues to ensure the best outcome for all.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and work towards Level 5 Certificate in Education
  • Develop and work towards subject specialism in Maths or English
  • Aspire to develop in the role as a Maths or English Teacher
  • Hold at least a Level 2 qualification in Literacy and Numeracy
  • Gain/hold and maintain a clean, enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check
  • Enthusiasm and commitment to a career in teaching
