Chauffeur for the Bishop of Lincoln

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide transportation for the Bishop to various services, meetings, events, and train stations, both within and occasionally outside the Diocese.
- Coordinate with The Bishops' Office staff to ensure all driving arrangements are efficiently managed.
Driving Responsibilities
- Be available to drive during weekdays, evenings, and weekends as needed.
- Plan and optimize travel routes and timings as necessary.
- Assist in the servicing, repair, and routine maintenance of the Bishop's official vehicle.
- Ensure the vehicle is consistently fueled and maintained with necessary fluids.
Essential Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Possession of a clean driving license and proof of business use insurance.
Skills and Attributes:
- Hands-on, practical approach to tasks.
- Ability to take initiative, plan effectively, and execute tasks.
- Strong teamwork skills.
- Maintain confidentiality and exhibit courtesy, friendliness, and discretion at all times.
- Flexibility in working hours.
- Professional appearance, representing the Bishop and his staff appropriately.
Knowledge and Experience:
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in basic vehicle servicing and maintenance.
- Proficient in handling tools and equipment for vehicle and property maintenance.
- Capability to drive various vehicle models, both automatic and manual.
- Familiarity with the geographical area covered by the Diocese.
- Ability to read and interpret road maps accurately.
- Competent manual handling skills.
Desirable Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced driving certification.
Skills and Attributes:
- Understanding of the Christian faith and interest in the Church of England.
- Experience in public engagement and providing support to senior management or leadership roles.
Knowledge and Experience:
- Background in general maintenance work.
