About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Custody Operations Specialist to join our team at Standard Bank Group. As a key member of our Operations team, you will play a critical role in providing deep specialist knowledge and expertise to support the Custody Operations function.

Key Responsibilities
  • Complex Issue Resolution Management: You will be responsible for managing and resolving complex issues related to Custody Operations, ensuring that all incidents are properly documented and escalated to the relevant stakeholders.
  • Client Escalation Management: You will be the primary point of contact for client escalations, providing timely and effective resolution to ensure a positive client experience.
  • SME Custody Operations Advice: You will provide subject matter expertise to support ICS projects and the Operations & Business Leadership, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed and aligned with Custody Operations strategies.
  • Team Development and Support: You will work closely with the Custody Operations team to develop and implement strategies to maximize overall efficiency and team performance, promoting a positive client experience and minimizing operational incidents.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Banking Operations Experience: You will have a minimum of [X] years of experience in banking operations, with a strong understanding of Custody Operations processes and procedures.
  • Point Person for Multiple Product Processes: You will be responsible for managing multiple product processes, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed and aligned with Custody Operations strategies.
Additional Information
  • Act as a Risk Champion: You will ensure the adoption of Risk items into the team's processes and procedures, promoting a culture of risk awareness and mitigation.
  • Subject Matter Expert: You will provide advice and guidance to support ICS projects and the Operations & Business Leadership, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed and aligned with Custody Operations strategies.
  • Contribute to Team Strategy: You will contribute to the development of the Custody Operations team strategy, ensuring that objectives are aligned with the Operations function and distribution channels.
  • Design and Implement Service Standards: You will design and implement service standards that meet customer needs, ensuring the delivery of exceptional levels of service to clients through all servicing channels.
  • Drive Vision to Completion: You will drive the vision for Custody Operations to completion, ensuring that the team and wider stakeholder networks are aligned and committed to the vision.
Technical Competencies
