Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the safe, compliant, and efficient execution of depot operations
  • Manage and optimize delivery and collection routes, making necessary adjustments
  • Inspire and lead your team, ensuring high levels of engagement and skill among drivers, operations, and warehouse personnel
  • Maintain our fleet of vehicles (Class 2 / 7.5t) to ensure legal compliance and good condition
  • Take overall responsibility for health and safety, ensuring safe operations and driving practices
  • Coordinate the transport of waste to designated locations, adhering to agreed schedules
  • Ensure all contractors possess the necessary permit-to-work documentation
  • Verify that daily vehicle checks are conducted by drivers and that maintenance is performed
  • Ensure thorough completion of all paperwork and systems

Candidate Requirements:

  • Proven management experience
  • Experience in managing multi-drop routing
  • Knowledge of Driving Hours, Tachograph, and Working Time Regulations
  • Demonstrated success in achieving results within a logistics environment
  • A history of enhancing team performance
  • Strong administrative capabilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Current Management CPC Qualification Card
  • IOSH Managing Safely certification, or a commitment to obtain it promptly
  • GCSEs in English and Maths, or equivalent qualifications
