About the Role

TD Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our client's team in London. As a key member of the design team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality mechanical designs and project management services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out mechanical and public health design duties, overseeing junior staff and providing project management and administration duties.
  • Monitor design team costs, taking into account the programme and budget provided for each project.
  • Implement company procedures and policies, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Manage design teams and provide mechanical engineering support to electrical engineers.
  • Liaise with clients and attend meetings on all aspects of projects.
  • Carry out quality inspections of projects and ensure adherence to company standards.
  • Use CAD/BIM systems in line with company procedures and policies.
  • Monitor financial aspects of projects and work within mechanical standards within the organization.
Requirements
  • Experience and use of Revit MEP.
  • Knowledge of current Building Regulations, Renewable technologies, IES Thermal Modelling, SAPs/SBEM Calculations, EPCs, BREEAM, GLA London Plan, and Passivhaus Standards.
  • Project management of multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Production of design calculations using manual and software types.
  • CAD experience essential.
  • Carrying out tender analysis of returned tender packages.
  • Carry out site surveys in various parts of the UK using own car or public transport.
  • Carry out on-site project management.
  • Building Regulation experience.
