Final Quality Assurance Inspector

Overview:
The ideal candidate will take charge of the final evaluation of intricate sheet metal components during peak production periods. This position will involve both new and existing product lines, playing a crucial role in fulfilling the team's overall objectives. Flexibility in working hours and potential overtime will be necessary. Comprehensive training and support will be provided.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with established quality protocols and standards.
- Follow route cards, work instructions, and technical drawings.
- Validate Quality Assured Products through:
- Completion and stamping of Works Orders.
- Visual inspections and confirmation of adherence to product specifications.
- Material traceability and serialization as required.
- Management of Issue and Build Standard (Version) control.
- Quality compliance checks, including FAI coverage, concessions, permits, and release gateways.
- Fulfillment of Quality requirements and closure of Quality Notifications.
- Conduct gateway inspections for Quality checklists and any additional alerts.
- Apply basic measurement techniques and hand gauging.
- Clean and protect parts as necessary.
- Report any non-conformities and collaborate with the quality team to resolve issues.
- Complete documentation and system transactions for finished work prior to dispatch.
- Manage and maintain stock control systems as needed.
- Perform additional duties to assist the operational team.
- Engage in general team responsibilities, including continuous improvement and 5S initiatives.
- Adhere to all EH&S procedures in the execution of tasks.
Qualifications:
- Experience in Sheet Metal Fabrication, Machining, and Quality Inspection.
- Detail-oriented with a strong sense of responsibility.
- Ability to work independently in a medium-volume production setting.
Personal Attributes:
- Highly motivated, adaptable, responsive to change, and composed under pressure.
- Capable of supporting technical discussions related to welding.
- Strong focus on quality assurance.
- Proficient in computer applications.
- Collaborative team player with the ability to work across various departments.
Essential Skills:
- Level 3 NVQ or City and Guilds in a relevant field.
Desirable Skills:
- Previous experience in Assembly and Inspection.
- Completion of an apprenticeship in a relevant discipline.
