We are excited to present an opportunity for a Property Surveyor to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring effective maintenance planning and managing both planned and reactive repair activities for buildings. Your expertise will help guarantee the safety of building occupants, the effectiveness of repairs and refurbishments, and compliance with current and upcoming regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute projects in alignment with RICS standards.
  • Provide technical and advisory support to clients, stakeholders, and fellow team members.
  • Lead and contribute to the delivery of high-quality, client-focused projects and services that meet agreed requirements.
  • Inform senior management of potential business opportunities and collaborate with the marketing strategy.
  • Represent the company professionally to external clients and stakeholders.
  • Assist in client development initiatives.
  • Draft specifications, drawings, and conduct risk assessments for improvement, refurbishment, and new construction projects.
  • Prepare tender documents and manage contract administration, ensuring compliance and quality control.
  • Conduct site surveys related to building conditions, including schedules of condition, dilapidations, and planned maintenance; perform defect analysis and prepare technical reports.
  • Engage in conservation projects, focusing on materials, repair processes, quality control, and innovative repair methods.
  • Identify new business prospects.
  • Achieve a fee-earning target of 90% while contributing to business plan objectives.
  • Travel to various offices and sites as necessary.
  • Fulfill duties appropriate to the role.
  • Promote continuous improvement and deliver high-quality products and services that adhere to quality standards.
  • Exhibit a personal commitment to the company's CSR strategy.
Candidate Qualifications:
  • Professional membership with the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors or equivalent, with a commitment to achieving chartered status.
  • HNC/HND or equivalent in a Building Maintenance-related field.
  • Possession of a current site card or willingness to obtain one immediately.
  • Experience in a similar position.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with Building Regulations and relevant construction and surveying legislation.
  • Understanding of current health and safety legislation, including risks associated with asbestos.
