We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Dental Officer to join our award-winning Special Care Dental Service at Hertfordshire Community NHS Trust.
About the RoleThis is a 12-month fixed-term position that will involve providing routine clinical and domiciliary care to patients with special needs, including those with learning disabilities, physical difficulties, mental health problems, and medically compromised individuals.
You will work in a newly refurbished dental clinic at Cheshunt Community Hospital, which offers excellent sedation facilities and a sensory room for patients. You will also have the opportunity to work in a brand new dental surgery at our clinic at Nevell's Road, Letchworth.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality oral health care to patients with special needs
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver patient-centered care
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and carers
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes
- Contribute to the development of the Special Care Dental Service
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- A valid full driving license and access to a car for business purposes
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
- Knowledge of special care dentistry and experience working with patients with special needs
- Commitment to delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the Trust's vision
