VIQU Limited is collaborating with a prestigious service provider seeking a Network Project Engineer to enhance their team of skilled engineers. This role emphasizes project management alongside some routine operational tasks, stemming from a recent team promotion.

The successful candidate will enjoy a flexible work arrangement, spending only one day in the office each week while working remotely for the remaining days. Additionally, the role includes participation in an on-call rotation, approximately once every eight weeks, with compensation provided for on-call duties.

Key Qualifications for the Network Project Engineer:

  • Proven experience as a Core IP Network Engineer
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Juniper and Cisco technologies
  • Demonstrated expertise in BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, and MPLS protocols
  • Experience in managing and executing projects
  • Desirable background in Managed Service Providers (MSP) or Internet Service Providers (ISP)

Core Responsibilities:

  • Perform on-call duties as necessary to mitigate service disruptions.
  • Develop implementation plans, Low-Level Designs (LLD), and conduct Proof of Concept (POC) or laboratory testing.
  • Execute upgrades and patches in line with scheduled maintenance or in response to incidents.

Current Projects within the Network Team:

  • Migration to a new data center
  • Comprehensive rollout of a new data center
  • Deployment of new router flexers
  • Decommissioning of outdated networks
