Job Title: Tax Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Operations Manager to join our Group Finance function in Cardiff. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading, motivating, and developing a team responsible for the delivery of Operational Tax activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a team of tax professionals to ensure the delivery of Operational Tax activities in accordance with documented procedures and controls.
  • Develop and maintain a robust control framework to ensure strong controls are in place to mitigate risks.
  • Collaborate with Group Tax and Operational areas to ensure the control framework is fit for purpose.
  • Manage, inspire, and cultivate the development of employees at all levels in a manner consistent with the company's policies and procedures.
  • Continually enhance the efficiency and robustness of tax reporting.
  • Lead change projects affecting Operational Tax activities, encompassing planning, impact assessment, resource estimation, test script creation, testing, and implementation.
Requirements:
  • A qualified accountant or part-qualified, or qualified by acquired experience within a Finance environment.
  • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Detailed experience of working on a core accounting system and performing ledger postings and reconciliations.
  • Good understanding of corporate tax accounting and reporting.
  • Experience of spreadsheet design and financial analysis.
  • Experienced people manager able to demonstrate positive performance management.
