Geography Teacher Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Geography teacher to join our team at a fantastic school in Camden. As a Geography teacher, you will have the opportunity to inspire young minds and foster a love for learning in a dynamic and supportive school environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging and comprehensive Geography lessons that meet the diverse needs of students
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages students' learning and growth
  • Assess and evaluate students' progress through various forms of assessment
  • Provide constructive feedback and support to students to help them achieve their academic goals
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies and resources
  • Maintain accurate records of students' attendance, behaviour, and academic performance
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Geography or a related field
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification
  • Proven experience teaching Geography at the primary or secondary level
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of the Geography curriculum
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning
