About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Nursery Cleaner to join our team at Tops Day Nurseries. As a key member of our cleaning team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of our nursery premises, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our children and staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Disinfecting surfaces, toys, and furniture to maintain a hygienic environment.
- Emptying bins and disposing of waste appropriately.
- Maintaining the cleanliness of communal areas, including kitchens and staff rooms.
- Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting all areas.
- Able to use the correct cleaning equipment, materials, and chemicals safely and appropriately.
- To report any problems, faults, or damage appropriately.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a cleaning role (experience in a childcare or educational setting is a plus).
- A good understanding of hygiene and safety standards, particularly in environments where children are present.
- Aware of the sustainable ethos of the company, including being actively involved with energy conservation and recycling.
- Attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently and independently.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to follow cleaning schedules and complete tasks in a timely manner.
