InterQuest Group has partnered with a leading Retail Banking Institution to source a seasoned Compliance professional.

As part of the Compliance leadership team, we require an experienced Policy and Governance expert who can work independently, take the lead, and assume ownership across the following key areas:

  • Lead the development and implementation of the bank's Compliance/Regulatory framework, ensuring proportionate alignment to the bank's Target Operating Model (TOM).
  • Collaborate with Group and senior stakeholders, providing oversight of local business units.
  • Facilitate and attend committees/forums; producing reporting packs, data, and insights suitable for Group and Local Committees and Forums, e.g., risk appetite, regulatory changes, and assurance/regulatory risk mitigation strategies.
  • Oversee, challenge, and ensure all relevant frameworks, SYSC, are suitable for the Group.
  • Significant knowledge of Regulatory themes such as Conduct Risk, Consumer Duty, SMCR.

To be considered, you will have the following experience:

  • Retail banking, (un)secured lending, or related experience.
  • +6 years Regulatory Risk, Policy, and Governance experience within a retail bank or related industry.
  • We will consider Regulatory lawyers with the above experience, who will be able to hit the ground running and operate as Group Department Head of Compliance.
