About the Role

Starlight Energy is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Land Acquisition Manager to join our Project Development team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in identifying and acquiring suitable land for our solar, wind, battery storage, and green hydrogen projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Land Feasibility Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments of potential land sites to determine their suitability for our projects.
  • Land Sourcing: Identify and secure suitable land for our development pipeline, working closely with our technical, planning, and solicitor teams.
  • Negotiation and Contracting: Negotiate land rental and purchase terms, access and cable easements, and wayleaves with landowners and other stakeholders.
  • Project Development Support: Provide expert advice and support to our project development team to ensure the successful delivery of our projects.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Represent Starlight Energy in discussions with statutory bodies, community groups, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
Requirements
  • Education and Qualifications: Degree qualified in surveying, engineering, or a related field, with a strong understanding of the UK farming environment.
  • Experience: Proven experience in land acquisition, project development, or a related field, with a strong track record of delivering results.
  • Skills and Competencies: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively. Proficient in IT systems and data analysis, with a strong understanding of project development principles and practices.
