Job Title: Interim Director of Business Partnering

Job Description:

HFG Insurance Recruitment is currently partnering with a leading London market insurer to find an Interim Director - Specialty Business Partnering. The role is a 12-month fixed-term contract and will involve delivering consistent and relevant commercial analysis of performance, underpinned by credible and robust financial modeling built on accurate management information, to support Product Underwriters, the wider Specialty business, and senior management across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Production and delivery of financial management information to the Specialty Leadership team and Corporate FP&A
  • Understanding and explaining the commercial drivers of business performance on a monthly and quarterly basis versus Plan/Forecast/Prior Year, and preparing analysis and commentary
  • Managing and coordinating the end-to-end forecasting and annual business planning process for Specialty, working with the legal entity teams, to facilitate and provide robust challenge to business plans
  • Responsibility for relationship management with all stakeholders across the Specialty Business and Finance, the role holder will be a key point of contact between Finance and other functions across the business (Underwriting, Claims, Operations, Capital Management, Actuarial etc)

Requirements:

  • An excellent grasp of insurance and underwriting results drivers
  • Strong business modeling and analytical skills, including presentation of information to key decision makers and executives
