Position: Quantity Surveyor

Location: Helston

Sphere Solutions is on the lookout for a skilled Quantity Surveyor with a background in civil engineering or utilities to become part of a reputable local contractor managing projects throughout Cornwall.

This role involves working within a seasoned commercial team, directly reporting to the Commercial Director, and overseeing the financial aspects of multiple projects while ensuring that costs are effectively monitored and controlled.

This is a remarkable opportunity for a qualified Quantity Surveyor to integrate into a progressive team of professionals.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Procurement of subcontractors and handling tender inquiries, along with supporting ongoing estimating tasks.
  • Management of commercial and financial aspects, including valuations, reconciliations, and final accounts.
  • Regular reporting to the head office and site visits as necessary.

Qualifications Required:
  • Possession of a relevant construction-related qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated experience at the Quantity Surveyor level managing various projects.
  • A valid driving license is essential.
  • Strong IT skills, particularly in Excel.
