About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Despatch Operative. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth movement of finished products from production to refrigerated storage.

Key Responsibilities
  • Move finished products from production to refrigerated storage, maintaining accurate records and adhering to safety protocols.
  • Complete cold store functions, including order picking, physical inventory, loading, and housekeeping duties.
  • Load and unload vehicles, operate pallet trucks, and complete paperwork accurately and efficiently.
  • Monitor equipment performance, identify issues, and perform basic maintenance tasks to prevent downtime.
  • Support and maintain safety and hygiene standards, adhering to company policies and regulations.
  • Previous experience in a warehousing or cold store environment is desirable, but full training will be provided.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills are essential, with the ability to prioritize tasks and contribute to regular department meetings.
What We're Looking For
  • A motivated team player who can work independently and as part of a team.
  • Previous experience in a warehousing or cold store environment is desirable, but not essential.
  • Good knowledge of Health & Safety and Food Hygiene is preferable, although training will be provided.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and contribute to regular department meetings.
  • A strong performer with a good attendance record and a willingness to learn further skills.
