Controls Systems Engineer

Position Summary: The successful candidate will be responsible for executing general maintenance tasks and installations within a structured preventative maintenance framework. This role involves online troubleshooting and process optimization on a daily basis, requiring a proactive approach and the ability to work independently during shifts.

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM.
40-hour work week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate as an integral member of a cross-functional maintenance team, providing electrical expertise within the engineering department.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, Food Safety, and Hygiene regulations at all times.
  • Support mechanical engineers in their tasks and responsibilities.
  • Engage in a culture of Continuous Improvement, consistently identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency and minimize waste.
  • Assist in the training and development of fellow maintenance engineers and other personnel as required.
  • Complete planned maintenance activities within established timelines, while continuously seeking improvements to enhance equipment reliability.
  • Participate in various projects, including the installation and modification of plant and equipment.

Qualifications: Candidates should possess relevant experience and qualifications in an electrically focused multi-skilled engineering role, preferably within a manufacturing or FMCG setting. A minimum of NVQ Level 3 in an appropriate engineering discipline is required.

Technical Skills: Knowledge and experience with automated process control systems, including PLC-based systems, are essential for this position.
