Portuguese Speaking Document Review Paralegal

A temporary Portuguese Speaking Document Review Paralegal is required to join our team at Michael Page Legal. This exciting opportunity will see you working closely with our legal department to review and analyse Portuguese language documents related to legal proceedings.
Key Responsibilities- Review and analyse Portuguese language documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with relevant legislation.
- Translate legal documents from Portuguese to English and vice versa as required, maintaining the highest level of quality and attention to detail.
- Conduct thorough legal research to support ongoing cases and projects, staying up-to-date with industry developments and best practices.
- Collaborate with the legal team to ensure all documents are compliant with relevant legislation, providing expert advice and guidance as needed.
- Participate in team meetings to discuss document review strategies and provide input on improving processes and workflows.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to the ethical standards of the legal profession at all times, upholding the highest level of professionalism and integrity.
- Ensure all work is completed within specified timeframes to maintain workflow efficiency and meet business objectives.
- Provide support to the legal department as needed, demonstrating a flexible and adaptable approach to work.
- Business proficiency in Portuguese and English languages, both written and spoken, with the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively.
- A degree in Law or a related field, with a strong understanding of legal principles and procedures.
- Experience in document review in the legal sector, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality results.
- Strong research skills and attention to detail, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines, prioritising tasks and managing time effectively.
- Excellent teamwork skills and a collaborative approach to work, with a focus on building strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
