MacGregor Black is excited to collaborate with an Industry Leading Consumer Organization in the search for a Market Insights Analyst. This is a permanent role based in London.

As the Market Insights Analyst, your primary responsibility will be to deliver comprehensive insights, shopper analytics, sales performance evaluations, and promotional assessments to enhance profitability through value-added partnerships with customers. You will be tasked with transforming critical data into actionable insights, presenting various scenarios for consideration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conducting data analysis to identify brand performance and market trends, pinpointing potential opportunities and risks. Crafting compelling narratives for use by sales and marketing teams.
  • Facilitating new product initiatives by performing market feasibility assessments and presenting findings as a business case to senior management.
  • Inputting and analyzing customer sales data, providing weekly updates to the sales and marketing teams, highlighting significant trends.
  • Preparing and delivering quarterly sales reports for the UK and senior management.
  • Analyzing sales performance by product category and customer segment.
  • Creating presentations and communication materials for internal and external meetings as necessary.
  • Evaluating customer promotional activities as requested.
  • Utilizing software solutions for data manipulation, including Acumatica reporting, and developing standardized and customized reports using Power BI.
  • Overseeing the Reflex forecasting system to ensure its effective operation, including timely loading of new product pricing for month-end forecasting. Collaborating with the Reflex forecasting contact to resolve any issues promptly.
  • Managing the budget allocated for research initiatives.
  • Exploring innovative methods for data reporting to stakeholders.
  • Acting as the primary contact to ensure timely data delivery, organizing relevant meetings, and preparing annual presentations.
  • Providing category recommendations based on data analysis results.
  • Conducting weekly rate of sale assessments by product.
  • Building strong collaborative relationships with the sales and marketing teams.
  • Leveraging insights into customer needs to enhance market penetration and recommend product ranges.
  • Delivering detailed data inputs for comprehensive category reviews while supporting teams with their own opportunity assessments.
  • Analyzing competitive data for online platforms, providing key insights and actionable recommendations for sales and marketing teams.
  • Challenging existing processes and continuously seeking opportunities for business improvement.
  • Managing tasks assigned by senior management as required.
  • Inputting data into the pricing harmonization form for evaluation.
  • Reviewing and analyzing the return on advertising investment for marketing and sales teams.

Compensation up to £45K (dependent on experience).
