Consultant Histopathologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Histopathologist to join our team at Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will have a special interest in post mortem pathology and will be responsible for leading and developing our post mortem service.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and develop the post mortem service, including the delivery of hospital and coronial post mortems
- Collaborate with clinicians and pathologists to provide a comprehensive diagnostic service
- Develop and deliver post mortem training for histopathology specialist trainees
- Contribute to the development of undergraduate pathology education through our links with the University of Liverpool and Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine
- Participate in clinical audit and quality improvement initiatives
- Provide teaching and training to junior medical staff, Anatomical Pathology Technicians, and Biomedical Scientists
- MBBS/BDS or equivalent qualification
- Full and specialist registration with the General Medical Council (GMC)
- Experience as a Consultant Cellular Pathologist, with expertise in Head and Neck/Endocrine Pathology
- Experience in the training/supervision of cellular pathology trainees
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
