Senior Geotechnical Engineer Opportunity

Access Talent Group is partnering with a leading Geotechnical, Structural and Geosciences consultancy to support their Geotechnical Engineering team expansion. Due to continued success and new contracts being awarded in Australia, the UK, and Europe, our client is looking to add a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to their Birmingham and/or London office.

The successful candidate will be expected to hit the ground running and get involved from day one on legacy projects, as well as new design schemes for large scale infrastructure programmes. Our client specializes in large scale infrastructure projects but is also expanding into the energy and construction markets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to all levels of the design process for rail, highways, and tunnelling contracts across Europe and the UK, as well as potentially Australia.
  • Develop commercial awareness and knowledge to progress up the career ladder.
  • Travel from time to time to visit client offices and project sites.

Requirements:

  • Right to live and work in the UK.
  • Degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or similar.
  • Strong Plaxis 2D/3D experience; WALLAP is also a bonus.
  • Achieved Chartered Engineer status or be close to doing so.
  • Experience in Geotechnical Infrastructure projects such as HS2, Smart Motorway, or new motorway schemes, as well as other complex schemes.
