GSL Education is on the lookout for a dedicated and proactive Special Educational Needs Support Assistant to join a thriving educational institution. In this capacity, you will be instrumental in enhancing the learning experiences of students with special educational needs, working alongside skilled educators.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement customized educational activities and provide individualized support as well as small group instruction for students with special needs.
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff to cultivate an engaging and supportive classroom atmosphere by assisting in the arrangement and preparation of educational materials.
- Ensure a secure and inclusive learning environment that prioritizes the welfare and safeguarding of all students.
- Aid in the management of student behavior and promote positive social interactions among peers.
- Assist in the evaluation and monitoring of student progress, offering constructive feedback to educators and families.
Candidate Requirements:
- Proven experience working with children in a primary educational setting, ideally in a support role.
- A committed individual with a genuine passion for nurturing a love of learning.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, educators, and families.
- Excellent organizational abilities and the capacity to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
- Patience and resilience, with the ability to maintain composure in challenging situations.
- Relevant qualifications or a willingness to pursue further training.
