Bridgend, Bridgend county borough, United Kingdom BRIDGEND COUNTY BOROUGH COUNCIL Full time
Senior Practitioner - Community Support Hub
Are you dedicated to enhancing the well-being of children and adolescents? Do you seek to join an organization that prioritizes exceptional supervision, employee wellness, and professional growth?

We are currently looking to appoint a permanent Senior Social Worker to evaluate and assist children and their families throughout the region.

Our Community Support Teams are situated within several hubs across the area. As part of our recent organizational restructuring, a new safeguarding hub is being established.

This restructuring will facilitate smaller case management teams and more manageable workloads, ensuring that social work practices within Child and Family Services are grounded in a strengths-based methodology within a collaborative and nurturing environment.

Our specialized Family Support Services are integrated with our Community Support Teams to deliver a comprehensive range of services, from early intervention to intensive support for families facing complex challenges.

We also have dedicated teams that provide expertise for children with disabilities, as well as care-experienced youth aged 16 and above who qualify for leaving care services.

The successful applicant will benefit from a thorough onboarding process, consistent supervision, additional assistance and mentoring as needed, along with opportunities for further professional advancement.

In our commitment to best practices, we have implemented the 'Signs of Safety' social work framework, which guides all our operations in Children's Services.

We are a reflective organization that continually builds on its strengths, firmly believing that the most effective way to enhance outcomes for all children, young people, and families is through the provision of accessible, universal services.

Ensuring the safety of children, young people, and vulnerable adults is a fundamental responsibility of all employees within the council.

In addition to a competitive salary, this position includes a Market Supplement of £5,000 and, if applicable, a relocation package of up to £8,000.

Ensuring the safety of children, young people, or vulnerable adults is a core responsibility of all council employees.

A criminal records check by the Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) is mandatory for this position.

A valid driving license is also required for this role.

The council's Hybrid Working Policy is applicable to this position, providing a framework for determining how working hours will be divided between home and the office.
