Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and review of neighbourhood plans, ensuring they meet the needs of local communities and align with the council's strategic objectives.
  • Work closely with local communities, stakeholders, and other teams within the council to ensure effective collaboration and communication.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on neighbourhood planning, community engagement, and place shaping.
  • Contribute to the development of policies and strategies that support the council's neighbourhood planning agenda.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Proven experience in neighbourhood planning, community engagement, and place shaping.
  • Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to lead and motivate teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of neighbourhood planning policies and legislation, including the Localism Act and the Housing and Planning Act.
