A solid understanding of policy administration systems is essential for success in this role, as you will be responsible for designing enhancements and developing solutions within our highly regarded Life & Pensions (L&P) system.
Working Model: Hybrid (Flexible)
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate the design of end-to-end project solutions, ensuring alignment with the overall project framework.
- Draft comprehensive solutions for specific enhancements to policy administration systems.
- Evaluate existing system functionalities to identify enhancement needs and optimal solutions to meet business objectives.
- Compose and/or review Requirements and Design Documentation.
- Guarantee timely delivery of all Requirements and Design Documents.
- Act as a Consultant during requirement and design workshops, both internally and externally.
- Collaborate with Lead BA/PD/PM on project-related Actions, Assumptions, Risks, Issues, Decisions, and Constraints.
- Assess Technical Design Specifications.
- Support Development teams throughout the project build phase.
- Review Test Scripts and assist in testing during the testing phase.
- Contribute to defining acceptance criteria and high-level estimates.
- Adhere to Sapiens processes and best practices.
- Provide clients with functional analysis, design guidance, and consultancy throughout the project lifecycle.
- Engage in Peer Review activities, collaborating with Business Analysts to ensure the quality and completeness of requirement and design outputs.
- Configure or assist in configuring parameters that dictate the functionality outlined in design documentation.
- Ensure that Product Material collateral is current and professionally presented.
- Facilitate training sessions on the system and its product offerings.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a functional architect in life insurance, pensions, or annuity systems.
- Demonstrated experience as a functional architect in integration projects, including policy administration systems and integration platforms.
- Proven in-depth knowledge of life and pension products and processes.
- Ability to comprehend business requirements and develop implementable solutions.
- Experience with database-based systems.
- Proven ability to work effectively within cross-functional and geographically diverse teams.
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
- Familiarity with SQL and Excel; experience with additional programming languages is a plus.
Desirable Skills:
- Prior experience with a Life or Pensions policy administration system, digital platforms, and business intelligence is advantageous.
- Experience in collaborative and agile working methodologies is a plus.
- BSc in Computer Science, Information Systems Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Proficiency in other European languages is a plus.
