NES Fircroft is seeking a skilled Instrument Technician to join their team at the Wytch Farm Oil Field in Dorset. As an integral part of a multi-disciplined team, the successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and operational testing of instrument-related equipment and systems to ensure efficient, reliable, and safe operation of the production facility. The role involves working within a rotational pattern of 4 X 10.5 hr shifts, with the possibility of overtime during projects and shutdowns. Key responsibilities include:

• Working within a multi-disciplined team to safely operate and maintain the Wytch Farm oilfield within operational and maintenance procedures.
• Completing scheduled and breakdown maintenance activities on safety systems, fire and gas systems, flow measurement systems, pressure, temperature, and level control, gas detection, DCS systems, hydraulic, and pneumatic control systems.
• Completing Maximo work orders and ensuring the generation of new work requests to highlight plant and equipment failure.
• Raising relevant permits within the agreed time period to ensure that maintenance is completed in an efficient manner.
• Complying with the requirements of change management policies, such as plant modifications proposals.
• Employing observation safety techniques (POST) to report safe and unsafe acts.

The ideal candidate will hold an accredited apprenticeship or an HNC equivalent in an engineering discipline and have previous experience in the oil and gas industry. Experience working with ATEX equipment is desirable but not essential.
