HGV Class 2 Delivery Driver

About the Role

Backline Logistics is seeking a reliable and skilled HGV Class 2 driver to join our team in Saltash. As a multidrop delivery driver, you will be responsible for delivering caged goods to retail sites, local shops, schools, campsites, and pubs in the Plymouth, Devon, and Cornwall areas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver roll cages, crates, and/or pallets to retail stores
  • Handball required, with customer-facing interactions
  • Previous experience with PDA delivery systems is advantageous, but full training will be provided

Working Hours and Pay

Usual hours of work will be Monday to Friday, with start times from 02:00am onwards. Saturday shifts are available, and some will be required depending on the needs of the business. You will be paid a minimum of 10 hours per shift, with an enhanced rate after this.

Requirements

  • Full UK HGV Class 2 / Category C Licence with a maximum of 6 penalty points
  • Current and valid CPC and digital tachograph card
  • Broad knowledge of driving rules and regulations
  • Professional and clean at all times
  • Good written and spoken communication skills
