About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Organic Search to lead our SEO team and drive our search-first creative agency forward. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing SEO strategies that deliver exceptional results for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and inform SEO strategies on dedicated accounts, and develop and own workflows.
  • Manage the SEO team at an operational level, ensuring seamless execution of projects and delivery of high-quality results.
  • Own client SEO performance and prove ROI through data-driven insights and recommendations.
  • Identify digital audiences and incorporate insights into wider SEO and search strategies.
  • Understand and sell Rise at Seven's unique SEO proposition to existing and prospective clients.
  • Work with the content team to complete opportunity/content gap analysis and identify strategic opportunities for clients.
  • Conduct content audits and technical SEO audits on client websites, developing a technical roadmap and managing ongoing consultancy.
  • Lead the strategy, recommendations, and implementations of site migrations, owning the SEO workflow and prioritizing items based on potential impact vs business needs.
  • Support on-page optimizations and create linkable assets in collaboration with technical and off-page efforts.
  • Inform Digital PR strategies by making recommendations on identified pages or campaign pages Digital PR should build links for organic growth - and monitor client backlink profiles.
  • Collaborate with web developers and marketing teams of clients.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and changes, and share best practices with the team.
Requirements
  • At least 4-5 years of experience in a Lead or Head of SEO-specific role, preferably agency side.
  • Experience with managing at least 2-4 direct reports in a team.
  • Commercial acumen and ability to use data to drive decisions and forecast ROI for clients.
  • Strong business writing skills and ability to produce high-quality reports and play a leadership role across dedicated accounts.
  • Experience in operational team management, team workflow, and use of agency workflow management systems.
  • Commercial experience in project scoping, costing, and profitability analysis.
  • Demonstrable leadership capabilities and ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience in constructing and pitching for SEO and content marketing new business opportunities.
