About ARU

ARU is a global university that transforms lives through innovative, inclusive, and entrepreneurial education and research. We hold a Gold award for the quality of our education, awarded through the Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF).

Our research institutes and four faculties bridge scientific, technical, and creative fields. We deliver impactful research that tackles pressing issues and makes a real difference to our communities. Our academic excellence has been recognised by the UK's Higher Education funding bodies, with 16 of our research areas assessed as world leading.

We are the largest provider of Nursing, Midwifery, Health, and Social Care students in the East of England, and we are also among the UK's leading universities for degree apprenticeship provision, working with hundreds of employers across the UK.

About the Role

You will be joining the successful Sensory Sciences team, a leading provider of quality clinical education in Audiology, Optometry, and Ophthalmic Dispensing, located in the Faculty of Science and Engineering on our Cambridge campus. We are forward-looking and enthusiastic, with a vision that combines a strong civic commitment to our region with excellence in learning and teaching.

We are seeking an experienced and motivated academic or academic practitioner (Audiologist) to contribute to teaching and administration on our Audiology courses. As a Lecturer Practitioner or Senior Lecturer Practitioner, you will maintain your professional practice and currency alongside your role at ARU.

You will have a degree or relevant professional qualifications, and experience in teaching and learning in higher education. You will have a track-record of applied practice and networking in the field, along with a commitment to CPD. You will have the opportunity to contribute to the broad range of the school's teaching portfolio, in particular our Degree Apprenticeship in Hearing Aid Audiology and our BSc (Hons) Audiology courses, both courses professionally accredited.

You will also demonstrate the ability and desire to contribute to the school's knowledge exchange and consulting activities.

We encourage flexible working and welcome applications from colleagues interested in working a 0.4 FTE.
