Job Description

Reports To: VP of Sales and Marketing

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Sales and Commercial Engineer to support our sales team by providing technical expertise, product demonstrations, proposal writing, reviewing customer requirements, and answering technical questions from customers. This role requires periodic travel to customer sites and industry events.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical assistance to the sales team during the sales process.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to tailor proposals to meet customer needs and enhance the likelihood of securing sales.
  • Define system configuration and kit BOMs to facilitate transition from Sales to Operations.
  • Travel to customer sites for on-site demonstrations, technical discussions, and meetings.
  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of our electrical lighting products and photoluminescent products.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitor products, and technological advancements to provide relevant information to customers and the sales team.
  • Conduct training sessions for the sales team on technical aspects of our products.

Requirements:

  • Experience in a technical role, preferably within the lighting industry or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of electrical lighting products.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally, including internationally, to customer sites and industry events.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
  • Familiarity with reading and interpreting technical drawings and data.
