About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated English Teaching Assistant to join our team in Walthamstow. As an English Teaching Assistant, you will assist in the delivery of English lessons and support students in their reading, writing, and comprehension skills.

Your Responsibilities
  • Assist in the planning and delivery of engaging English lessons.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students needing extra help.
  • Encourage students to develop a love for reading and writing.
  • Support the classroom teacher with lesson preparation and classroom management.
  • Help students to improve their literacy and communication skills.

  • A strong interest in English and a desire to work in education.
  • Experience working with students, ideally in a similar role.
  • Excellent communication skills and a passion for helping students succeed.
  • Patience, creativity, and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment.
  • Relevant qualifications or a background in English is an advantage.
