About the Role

Fera Science Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled Science Lead to join our Land Use and team. As a key member of our interdisciplinary research group, you will contribute to the delivery of natural capital projects for public and private sector stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead research projects for public and private sector clients, with responsibility for project management and delivery.
  • Apply a range of research techniques to gather relevant information, including data analysis, document analysis, surveys, focus groups, and interviews.
  • Analyze and evaluate research, interpreting data and working with interdisciplinary teams to agree interpretations and derivations of key metrics.
  • Contribute to publishing research findings and develop policies for environmental land management, tree health, food safety, and biosecurity.
  • Develop and implement appropriate quantitative and qualitative methodologies and mixed methods research.
Requirements
  • Expertise in one or more of the social science disciplines, preferably to MSc or PhD level.
  • Significant experience of delivering social science/natural capital research projects, preferably in public and private settings.
  • Ability to demonstrate experience of delivering projects to time and budget.
  • Experience of bidding and managing projects.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to summarize research findings and effectively communicate them to stakeholders.
