Key Responsibilities
In this dynamic role focused on innovation, you will be tasked with launching new product ideas and revitalizing existing offerings, guiding concepts through the creative development pipeline while ensuring they meet commercial viability.
Leveraging your market insights, you will collaborate closely with Development Chefs to identify emerging trends that will inspire exciting new interpretations of client briefs. Your role will be pivotal in transforming innovative ideas into profitable products while enhancing current ranges to maintain a competitive advantage.
You will oversee the entire process from kitchen concepts to production transitions, which includes benchmarking, assisting with product submissions, managing costs, and ensuring that recipe methods and assembly instructions are clearly communicated to the production team.
Additionally, you will engage with clients, delivering presentations both on-site and off-site, and preparing high-quality materials to showcase new concepts and product enhancements.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will possess a degree in Food Science or a related field, along with prior experience in a similar product development role, demonstrating a flair for creating innovative short shelf-life products. You should be enthusiastic about presenting new ideas to clients to capture their interest and propel projects forward.
With a creative mindset and a passion for food, you will thrive in a fast-paced environment and be accustomed to managing tight deadlines effectively. Strong communication, organizational, and project management skills are essential, along with a dedication to staying updated on the latest ingredient trends.
This is an excellent opportunity to work within a vibrant chilled food sector where you can apply and enhance your creative product development skills.
