About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator to join our team at Lorien. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of our database systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement database solutions to meet business needs
  • Ensure database security, integrity, and performance
  • Develop and maintain database documentation and standards
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define and implement reporting requirements
  • Conceive, design, and build dashboards using tools such as Excel and enterprise BI solutions
  • Lead on data initiatives, develop plans, and influence stakeholders to implement them
  • Support the transition to Apex Oracle after Excel

Requirements:

  • Expertise in Access DB and SQL
  • Experience in database management, data modelling, reporting, analysis, and visualisation
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Self-starter with initiative and direction

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience and knowledge of pensions
  • Data analysis qualification
  • 5+ years of experience as a data analyst
