The Role

Fortem Cares is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful delivery of our construction projects. Your primary responsibility will be to manage the financial aspects of our projects, including cost estimation, budgeting, and cost control.

The Project

Your duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing and managing project budgets and cost estimates
  • Monitoring and controlling project costs to ensure they are within budget
  • Coordinating with project stakeholders, including architects, engineers, and contractors
  • Identifying and mitigating potential cost risks and issues
  • Providing regular cost reports and updates to project stakeholders

Essential and Desirable Criteria

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field
  • Extensive experience in quantity surveying, preferably in a construction industry setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
