We are currently seeking skilled Site Package Managers specializing in Electrical and Mechanical disciplines to enhance our Construction team. In this role, you will oversee the effective management of health and safety, quality assurance, performance metrics, equipment, materials, logistics, and risk management on-site.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee site management and supervision of designated contracts to ensure adherence to our business principles of quality, profitability, and strong client relationships.
- Manage site operations, including the efficient coordination of labor, equipment, materials, logistics, and risk management.
- Implement and uphold all quality control processes and provide constructive feedback as necessary.
- Engage with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with legal regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
- Identify and mitigate risks related to health, safety, quality, and environmental concerns, collaborating with stakeholders to maintain effective risk management.
- Ensure the implementation of safe working practices at all times.
- Proactively plan to prevent issues and address any that arise.
- Generate and maintain reporting documentation in line with contract specifications and company policies.
JOB SPECIFICS:
- Participate in site meetings as directed by the Contract Manager.
- Collaborate with stakeholders during meetings, providing evidence-based progress reports, including visual documentation, a two-week forecast, issue logs, and risk registers.
- Conduct material take-offs, select materials, and order them according to established procedures.
- Ensure proper storage of materials and maintain site stock to support daily operations.
- Review site reports, designs, and drawings, offering practical feedback on installation methods and improvements.
- Work closely with the site team to identify challenges and implement effective solutions.
- Utilize company-issued software and hardware to document progress, manage snagging, and maintain checklists.
- Understand and manage the contract program, providing updates as necessary.
- Report on the overall operation of the program, including labor, opportunities, health and safety, and other relevant matters.
- Oversee subcontractor documentation, including RAMS, permits, and void closures.
- Meet with subcontractors to discuss site progress, resource allocation, and health and safety performance, providing motivation and leadership.
- Ensure site welfare is managed effectively and maintained in accordance with all statutory and company requirements.
- Maintain a detailed daily site diary documenting activities, personnel, conditions, and operations.
- Manage site equipment and materials, ensuring security and appropriate storage.
- Oversee site security, including access control and perimeter security.
- Conduct HSE audits and ensure compliance with company procedures.
- Facilitate site inductions for all personnel and maintain required documentation.
- Conduct daily briefings and toolbox talks, recording as necessary.
- Manage snag lists and coordinate with the supply chain to ensure timely resolution.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Candidates must possess relevant qualifications or demonstrate suitable knowledge and experience:
- Construction or Engineering Qualification (NVQ Level 3, HNC preferred but not mandatory).
- CITB SSSTS certificate or equivalent.
- IOSH Supervising Safely certification.
- CSCS card relevant to the role.
- First Aid at Work certification.
- Proven experience supervising projects of similar size and scope.
- Demonstrated leadership and management style aligned with company values.
- Knowledge of statutory requirements and processes within the construction and engineering sectors.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Valid UK driving license.
