Certain Advantage is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Inspector Subcontractor to join our team on an initial 12-month contract.

The ideal candidate will have experience in inspecting the work of others, ensuring the quality of deliverable hardware, and maintaining product certification and approval.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Certify products in line with established processes and procedures.
  2. Examine electrical connections and assemblies for correctness.
  3. Inspect the finish of all parts for defects or damage.
  4. Monitor operators within the Product Certification Scheme.
  5. Check and complete paperwork associated with the manufacturing data pack.
  6. Control non-conforming items and maintain relevant data records.
  7. Produce inspection and quality control documentation.
  8. Care for and use specialized inspection tools.
  9. Maintain product certification and approval through regular audits.
  10. Ensure compliance with all applicable procedures.
  11. Meet inspection times and deadlines.
  12. Possess a versatile skill set with the ability to apply skills across various tasks.
  13. Maintain high workmanship standards and product quality.

Requirements:

  1. Formal technical engineering or craft apprenticeship to NVQ Level 3/TR23/TR21 or HNC.
  2. Several years of experience as a skilled person.
  3. IPC 610 & IPC 620 certification/training preferred.
  4. Manual handling training.
  5. ESD Training.
  6. No color blindness.

Electrical Apprenticeship Levels:

  1. Approved Apprenticeship/Apprenticeship Framework/Modern Apprenticeship.
  2. Vocational G or H Units with Further Education, City & Guilds Parts 1, 2 & 3.
  3. Vocational TR23 Units with Further Education, ONC or City & Guilds Parts 1, 2 & 3.
  4. Vocational NVQ3 with Further Education, BTEC ONC/HNC.
