About the Position:

As a progressive and inclusive organization, we take pride in our commitment to precise customer specifications and compliance with industry regulations. We are seeking a skilled and driven Specification Technologist to join our Technical Team at the Brackley site.

This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, with responsibilities primarily based at one of our Midlands locations. Standard working hours are Monday to Friday, 08:00 –

Key Responsibilities of the Specification Technologist:

In this role, you will be tasked with developing specifications for various clients, reviewing and approving product artwork, and ensuring that project timelines are met with consistent precision. Collaborating with team members, you will foster strong relationships with both customers and colleagues.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

Creating and approving finished product specifications in line with critical paths to support successful product launches. Collaborating with Ingredients and Packaging Specifications Technologists to validate raw material and packaging specifications. Working closely with the New Product Development (NPD) team to integrate specifications into the NPD launch process for effective product introductions. Providing internal support for Site Technical teams and liaising with retail customers externally.

Qualifications for Success:

A food-related qualification from further education. Proven experience in drafting food specifications, with familiarity with major retailers' online specification systems and critical paths. Knowledge of retailer artwork approval processes and comprehensive understanding of the Food Information for Consumers Regulation. Exceptional attention to detail, coupled with the ability to manage workload effectively to meet key deadlines. Self-motivated and proactive. Strong verbal and written communication skills across all levels. Food-related HND qualification is desirable. Food labeling certification is also desirable.
