About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Manager to lead our Strategic Portfolio Delivery team at Arch Capital Group. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for driving delivery excellence across our strategic transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Delivery Excellence: Oversee the end-to-end delivery of strategic initiatives, ensuring timely and successful project outcomes.
  • Business Outcome Management: Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of our initiatives, and collaborate with stakeholders to course correct as needed.
  • Testing Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive testing strategy to ensure the quality and accuracy of our initiatives.
  • Portfolio Reporting: Oversee the consistency and accuracy of data outputs from all initiatives, supporting portfolio reporting and governance requirements.
  • Ad-Hoc Support: Provide support to Demand Management and Project Management teams as needed to ensure high standards are maintained.
  • Risk Management: Escalate and resolve initiative risks, serving as a trusted advisor to project managers and stakeholders.
  • Change Management: Collaborate with the Strategic Portfolio Management Leadership team to identify and address potential resistance to change.
  • Resource Planning: Develop and maintain a comprehensive resource plan to ensure strategic initiatives are resourced effectively.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the Strategic Portfolio Management team.
Requirements
  • Leadership Experience: 8+ years of leading professional teams, with a proven track record of delivering results.
  • Project Management: Experience in project management methodologies, tools, and processes, with a recognized project management qualification (PRINCE 2, Agile, PROSCI Change Management).
  • Insurance Sector: Experience working in the insurance sector, with a strong understanding of industry-specific challenges and opportunities.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to translate technical detail into clear and concise communication.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including MS Teams, and experience with project management software (SmartSheet, JIRA, Roadmunk, Clarity).
