Electrical Systems Specialist Job Description

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Systems Specialist to join our team at Oregon State University. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of electrical systems on our ships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of electrical systems to prevent failures and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Perform troubleshooting and repair of electrical systems, including circuit analysis and component replacement.
  • Collaborate with other technical teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems with other shipboard systems.
  • Develop and implement procedures for electrical system maintenance and repair.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior technicians and engineers.

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in electrical systems maintenance and repair.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including circuit analysis and component replacement.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience with electrical system design and installation.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and industry standards.
