About the Role
In the capacity of the Post-Production Imaging Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and uniformity of all photographic content. You will lead the post-production division, cultivate relationships with our external editing and retouching partners, and guarantee the prompt processing of all imaging assets. Your role will be vital in upholding the high standards and seamless operation of our post-production workflows, delivering exceptional service to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
• **Quality Assurance & Asset Oversight**: Evaluate and ensure quality control for all images produced by our UK studio network and external partners (editing, retouching, compositing, etc.) to meet Bonhams' stringent standards.
• **System Oversight**: Manage the upload and organization of all photographic files within our internal systems, ensuring precise and timely cataloging and tracking of all imaging assets.
• **Vendor & Stakeholder Coordination**: Serve as the primary liaison for external post-production vendors, nurturing relationships, providing constructive feedback, and ensuring compliance with our quality benchmarks. Collaborate closely with internal photographers and stakeholders to facilitate the smooth flow of all image assets through the post-production pipeline.
• **Performance Tracking & Reporting**: Monitor key performance indicators, rejection rates, and delivery timelines, generating reports for studio leadership to communicate these metrics. Continuously evaluate and enhance the performance of the post-production team and external partners.
• **Process Enhancement**: Propose innovative ideas for improving image quality, on-set capture techniques, and post-production workflows, ensuring our processes are efficient and responsive to the needs of various stakeholders.
• **Team Leadership**: Direct the post-production team, ensuring all members align with the company's standards and objectives. Provide training and development opportunities to enhance team capabilities.
• **Training & Development Management**: Collaborate with the Head Photographer to identify and implement training requirements for the team, focusing on enhancing the consistency and quality of images. Develop and conduct training programs or workshops to address identified areas for improvement.
About You
We are looking for a detail-oriented and seasoned Post-Production Imaging Supervisor to join our organization on a full-time basis. This role presents an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to shape and define the position.
Key Skills and Experience:
• Extensive experience in a post-production photography role, particularly with retouching teams, digital technician work, and file management processes.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a dynamic environment.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of providing clear and constructive feedback to internal and external partners.
• A keen eye for detail and a passion for photography and video production/post-production.
• Proven ability to lead teams and manage relationships with external vendors.
• Familiarity with image editing software and internal file management systems.
