About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Yard Operative to join our team at Jewson. As a key member of our branch team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of our yard and warehouse facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Welcome customers to the branch, take an active interest in their projects, and offer advice and assistance to ensure a positive experience.
  • Product Knowledge: Familiarize yourself with our product lines and provide expert advice to customers, aligning with our company values.
  • Order Preparation: Assist in preparing customer orders, load and unload customer and supplier vehicles using a Forklift Truck, minimizing manual handling and ensuring efficient operations.
  • Inventory Management: Check incoming deliveries, report missing or damaged products, and maintain accurate stock levels in both the shop and yard areas.
  • Branch Maintenance: Ensure the branch is clean and tidy, making a great first impression on our customers and maintaining a safe working environment.
